Just to get back to topic - good work on the review - I agree that it was a fair review and I will add - totally unbiased.

Very good review - I re-read it. I also like how each match featuring the locals feels like a part of a bigger story, being told by C4 and about C4 itself. I mean, it feels like C4 is a promotion that's growing, both in fanbase, work effort and in its ability to thread together storylines over a long period of time. That's just the overall feeling I get from having attended almost every show for the past year.

Jeez, sounds like I'm kissing ass.

You sound surprised that it was unbiased. Or is that unintended in your post??

Pete's hung up on bias, for whatever reason.  That's fine, he's neutral - good for him.  Whatever floats you boat.

As someone who is on the outside looking in right now - if a product is more superior than anything else in the area, yeah, there will be bias.

And C*4 is, without a fucking doubt, the best thing in the city right now.  I've worked with pretty much everyone who is running Ottawa right now (some experiences were definitely better than others) - and if someone wants to call me out on being biased - go for it.  Is Mark the best promoter in Ottawa?  I'll say no.  C*4 isn't partnering up with anyone, or garnering any sponsorships lke others have.  Is he the best booker?  Debatable, but only because there are different styles of booking.  He definitely caters to his local fans, outside fans (with Toronto and Montreal fans driving down regularly), and his DVD buying audience - which is good.  Does C*4 deliver the best shows in Ottawa?  Abso-fucking-lutely.

I've said before, too, ZZTop - you ARE C*4's biggest shill.  I think people expect you to be biased.  The honesty in your reviews is a great thing.

Thanks Rotchy. I try to be honest in my reviews and  for once it is nice not to get blasted on being a C*4 Mark. I do pride myself as a pseudo journalist and will strive to make it the most accurate report as possible. I have called shows garbage and gotten reamed for it and I have called shows decent and gotten reamed for it. It is a welcome change to have more messages of positivity then being vcalled and asshole and a mark.  I appreciate it.

Did not intend to sound surprised, I just simply made a statement, that the review is in fact -  fair AND unbiased. (I did say it was a GOOD review, didn't I?)

I have done a few reviews myself, but in actual fact, they could not really be called "A Review", they were more or less "detailed results" - to be honest, I really don't possess sufficient wrestling knowledge to write up what could be called a fair and unbiased review.

Anyways, I'm not exactly neutral, I do tend to be biased towards RE and I have my reasons. If anyone REALLY wants to know my reasons I will be happy to discuss them in private.

I certainly will not go out on a limb (not on this board anyways, lol!) and say that RE is better than C*4 - they are 2 totally different products .

I have brought my daughter to this C*4 show and my son to the last C*4 show, plus I have brought them to PCW, RWE, and UWA, and both my kids stated that C*4 is their favourite, then again, my "kids" are not exactly kids, my son is 22, my daughter is 29.

That is why I asked if it was unintended. I thought you meant it in sincerity but I had to ask. Thank you for your  words. I , as always, appreciate them.

Everyone has their personal favouite and they have their reasons for that. I make no bones about the fact IN MY OPINION, C8$ is unmatched in the Ottawa area, But I still make reviews as honest as possible. I would say you are more the "RESULTS GUY" You get the winners and losers up faster than anyone usually and I take a little longer but provide the breakdown. Sound about right??
