So is it in the story that Maximus Primal is also Damian Styles or are you going ahead and telling everyone that he should just drop the gimmick altogether since its now pointless? No offence Pete, but imo, if RE really wanted you to just say that, why would Dean even put out the effort in creating the gimmick?

No offence taken Gdawg - as Diehard pointed out, it was Maximus Primal who took the mic and more or less asked how his own brother could do this. As far as the storyline goes, he is still known as Maximus Primal, there was no reference made in any way to the name "Damian Styles" - all the new fans know him only as Maximus Primal.

I have been a consistent follower of the local wrestling scene for a few years now, granted, not as long as some of you, sure, I have been known to make some whacked out posts, but I have alot more respect than that to ruin a wrestler's gimmick just because I know something that the less knowlegeable fans don't.

I assumed from Pete's post that it was common knowledge that Maximus Primal was in fact Dean Styles. Is this not true? (And by "common knowledge" I mean in the kayfabe sense - NOT insider or "smart" knowledge that it's him in a different gimmick)

Please advise because if Primal's true identity has NOT been revealed in a storyline then I must edit my posting of the results on OWIE immediately.

Just to clarify things a little, the only thing revealed in the storyline is that Drake Styles and Maximus Primal are in fact BROTHERS - there was no reference made to the name Damian Styles or whether their names are actually Maximus Styles or Drake Primal - no need to edit the results.

a few of us were tossin around the idea of goin but we decided not to throw our cash away on a show we would not enjoy for various reasons, not just the swearing thing, which is really fuckin lame, or are the re fans cast members now?

We were told if we were caught swearing we would be "escorted of the property"

Hey Dean,

Your explanation regarding the front row seats for this past show, I understand.  It seemed like quite a lot and didn't appear that everyone who was already in there were together so, at the time, didn't seem to make any sense why they were all taken leaving none for those waiting in line.

It just seems to have been a habit in other feds where the talent brings their family, friends, friends family, their pets and their neighbours three doors down in for free and take all the front row seats before the paying customer was let in and this situation just brought back memories, so to speak.

As far as swearing is concerned, I really couldn't give a rats ass if I can swear or not... it doesn't effect my enjoyment of the product.  However, there needs to be some common sense applied to what constitutes a swear.  Dude, you know me... I am very considerate of the "no swearing" policy and RE's reasons for such, but I was given a family-show reminder for calling Eddie Osborne a "sack of crap"... I was actually using the word "crap" instead of "shit", no word of a lie, dude.  I thought I was being pretty damn tame considering my hatred for him which rivals that of Rahim Ali.  Now security dude could have been joking at the time, but I don't know.  Personally, I'm thinking swear = fuck, shit and the like... but is someone seriously going to get removed because of "crap"?  Come on, man.  The kids in the crowd are using worse.

Either way... thanks for the explanation.  Just wanted to make sure this wasn't the situation explained earlier in this post.

Anyways, like we said earlier, I think we were very polite in expressing our concerns, but we did give credit where it was due - I sent congradulations to Joe Lockhart (facebook) on his first performance, would have sent to Curtis as well (not on my friends list) and sent a note of congradulations to Wayne on a job well done - this was Wayne's response:

"I appreciate the comments about the students and Iam sure they would be happy to hear that many people thought they were the best match! I received a note about someone asking about reserved seating at the shows. The front rows ended up being taken up simply because we hosted a 50 kid fantasy Camp in the afternoon before the show. A local church group brought in 50 boys to learn a little more about wrestling training and they were the ones taking up most of the front row seating. It was part of the fee negotiated. Rest assured, these fantasy camps do not happen every show."

I do accept this explanation and have no hard feelings about this - I understand that this is a business, so a business decision was made, and it can not be a bad thing to have the churches backing up the wrestling business.

Is there a video somewhere of this student match? I'd like to see it.
