I'll be watching a bunch of Wrestling matches over the next few months. I've got tons to watch. I'll let you know the winners and what I thought of it.
1. Alex Shelley versus Simon Dean on WWE Sunday Night Heat Commentators made fun of Shelley's lack of tan. Simon Dean hit a curb stomp. Simon Dean gets the win.
2. Batista versus John Cena - Summer Slam 2008 I see the Rosetti kid in the front row. Think that's his last name. His dad used to be apart of CWA with the monsters. Anyway, this match is pretty good. The crowd was hot throughout. Batista countered John Cena's attempt at a move off the top with a power bomb. Batista hits a Batista bomb for the win. Good match.
3. Batista versus HHH - Hell in a Cell - Vengeance 2005 HHH comes out with Ric Flair. Batista comes out in white tights. Haven't seen those in ages. For his pyro instead of beating his chest, he punches the ground. Guess that changed over the years. They took turns using a Barbed Wire chair. Jim Ross is awesome on commentary. Spinebuster on the steps! crazy. Batista gets the win with a Batista bomb. Very good match.
4. Big Show versus Shane McMahon - Last Man Standing - Backlash 2001 This is the famous match where Shane McMahon jumps from high above. The rest of the match was forgettable. Shane won with the help of Test.
5. Big Show versus Al Snow for the Hardcore Championship - RAW 05.03.2001 Big Show came out with the belt around his arm. This was when Al Snow wanted to be Commissioner. Sick spot came when Show slammed Al through 6 chairs set up. It was a pretty blah match other than that. Show retained.
6. Big Show versus Rhyno for the Hardcore Championship - RAW 21. 05. 2001 Fun match with Rhyno using all sorts of weapons on Show. Rhyno went for a gore, but Show nailed him with a chair. He chokeslammed him on a trash can for the win and the title.
Up Next in this series: A bunch of Bob Backlund matches.

1. Bob Backlund versus Sgt. Slaughter - World Wrestling Federation - January 10th, 1981
Sgt. Slaughter has a sweet blue and white singlet. The heat he has is incredible. This is old school wrestling at its best. Slow paced but still awesome. Slaughter wins by countout I guess. They don't really say. Slaughter nails the referee and Backlund with the championship belt!
2. Bob Backlund versus Sgt. Slaughter - Steel Cage Match - World Wrestling Federation - March 21st, 1981
Back in 1982 they still showed the hot chicks in the crowd. They do it on RAW and SMACKDOWN! to this very day. Fun match with Backlund getting the victory.
3. Bob Backlund versus Ken Patera - Texas Death Match - World Wrestling Federation - May 19th, 1980
This was when Ken Patera was Intercontinental champion. He has a sweet blond fro. Backlund retains the title in an old school brawl.
4. Bob Backlund versus Adrian Adonis - World Wrestling Federation - January 18th, 1982
Great old school match! Match was stopped because Backlund was bleeding too much apparently. He still retained the championship.
All his matches are like 30 minutes long so far. I'll add more later. I have a couple more to watch.

5. Bob Backlund versus Adrian Adonis - World Wrestling Federation - March, 20th, 1982
Another match that goes 30 minutes. The top rope is blue which is different I guess for these times. The canvas says Spectrum on it. The ring announcer is that Copetta guy. I was trying to figure out when Adonis died. I used the trusty wikipedia and it said July 4th, 1988 in Lewisporte, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada when the driver drove into a lake. He was 33. There's some facts for you wrestling geeks out there. That was a year before I started watching wrestling. I was almost four years old. They played the full nelson game in this one instead of the wristlock/arm bar like the previous match. Adrian Adonis worked the wrist in this one. Adonis put on GOOD NIGHT IRENE, Backlund got out and then he pinned him! Great match.

1. Booker T versus Buff Bagwell - WCW World Championship - World Wrestling Federation - Monday Night RAW - July 2nd, 2001
Paul Heyman and J.R. leave the broadcast booth. Paul Heyman says don't blame WWF for what happens. Shane McMahon comes out and introduces Stacy Kiebler, Scott Hudson and Double A Arn Andrerson. Anderson and Hudson will be commentators and Kiebler will be the ring announcer. I've never seen this match before so I don't know what to expect. I was a fan of both guys back in the day. Stacy introduces Nick Patrick as the referee. Before she can introduce the wrestlers, she is interrupted by one of my favorite wrestlers, William Regal. He is with Tajiri. He said that Shane McMahon will be escorted out of the building and to his hotel. Booker T comes out with his old theme music. I haven't heard that in ages. Bagwell comes out with pyro. I never saw Buff Bagwell on WWF programming before because he didn't last long. Kurt Angle and Stone Cold Steve Austin ran down to beat on Booker T with Buff Bagwell. This sucked a dick.
2. Booker T versus The Undertaker - WCW World Championship - World Wrestling Federation - Smackdown! - July 2nd, 2001
The Undertaker came out to the most annoying song besides Arik Cannon's theme. He came out to Rollin'. He was with his then wife Sara I believe. Rock came down at one point. I miss The Rock. This was an over booked crap fest.

Had it been anybody else other than Buff, who could have put on an exciting match with Booker, the whole "Invasion" angle could have played out much more differently.... Instead, the crowd shit all over his bad performance... Vince freaked.. and changed plans...

Yeah it's really too bad. The Invasion angle could have been so much better.

3. Booker T and Test versus Undertaker and Kane - WCW Tag Team Championships - World Wrestling Federation - September 27th, 2001
Shane McMahon interferes too much. It takes away from the match. TOO MUCH SHANE! Kane did next to nothing in this. I didn't care for this. Test and Booker win the tag straps.

Aside from his days in Harlem Heat, my fave Booker T matches were his best of seven series against Benoit, his match with Saturn and Rick Martel for the US title and his match against Austin at the grocery store where Austin asked Booker if he had and grey poupon.

I agree, the best of 7 was awesome. I didn't like him when he was King Booker.

Loved Backlund's finisher, the Atomic Spine Crusher, shame that nobody uses it anymore. Check it out on this vid vs Superstar Billy Graham - if that move was "real", I can't imagine how painfull it would be.
