Yeah, guess it was a big deal back in those days. Watching some of those Backlund matches it'd be cool to see one of those. Biggest move I saw when I watched those Backlund matches was a piledriver.

1.  Bret "The Hitman" Hart versus "Stone Cold" Steve Austin - World Wrestling Federation - September 14th, 1996

Steve Austin came out to his old music. Not his normal glass breaking music. Owen Hart is on commentary and he is awesome. This match seems to be over seas some where. Looks like it's from 24/7.  I got this match by "other means". There is a lady playing with a baby in the front row. Well that was fun to watch haha. Jim Ross said that they are in South Africa. Owen is so great on commentary. Awesome match with Bret Hart getting the win with a small package

To be a nerd - that date can't be correct...  Hart didn't return until October of 96, did he not?

Hmmm I'm not sure, that's the date on the file. I will look it up and edit this post.

Edit: Looked on wweclassics.com and that's the date. September. Maybe they're wrong?

And I thought I knew my s**t. Wow! Oh, and the internet must help too. Whoah, i just flashed "No Class" Bobby Bass for some reason. Atlantic Grand Prix Wrestling circa 1980's.

Anyhoo, good flashback to Owen.

Quote
WWF @ Sun City, South Africa - September 14, 1996
Televised on SuperSport - featured Jim Ross & Owen Hart on commentary:
Crush pinned Aldo Montoya with the heart punch
Yokozuna pinned the Sultan with a legdrop after ramming the Sultan into an exposed turnbuckle
Henry & Phinneas Godwinn defeated Marty Jannetty & Leif Cassidy when Henry pinned Leif with the Slop Drop; after the bout, Henry slopped Jannetty
Savio Vega pinned Hunter Hearst Helmsley by blocking a sunset flip
Marc Mero defeated Davey Boy Smith via disqualification when Owen Hart interfered after Mero hit the Shooting Star Press
Bret Hart pinned Steve Austin with an inside cradle

He didn't return to TV until late October - but apparently he worked this random Africa tour.  Nevermind.

2. Bret "The Hitman" Hart versus Owen Hart - Wrestlemania X - World Wrestling Federation

I've seen this match so many times I know what the commentators are going to say before they say it. Amazing match. Owen does a dragon screw!  Owen Hart wins.

3. Bret "The Hitman" Hart versus Owen Hart - Summer Slam - World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Championship - World Wrestling Federation

This was a very good cage match. Bret Hart got the victory. There was a shmoz at the end with the Hart Family, Jim Niedhart and British Bulldog. Bulldog was fricking ripped then.

4. Bret "The Hitman" Hart versus Owen Hart - Action Zone - World Wrestling Federation Championship - World Wrestling Federation - September 24th, 1994

Todd Petingill is doing commentary with Vince McMahon. Jim Niedhart rammed Bret's knee against the pole while Owen distracted the referee. Bret Hart won when British Bulldog interfered.
