Firstly, the name is lamer than Kevin Nash's knees.
Secondly, this thing won't last longer than 2 months as the writers think fans can't pay attention that long.
Finally, the TNA creative aren't smart enough to make this last. Nice try, though.

Now hearing Jerry Lynn vs RVD for the TNA title at the Hard Justice PPV. Hmmm....

I think RVD/Lynn would be a good match!  They carried the last year of ECW together, and although it's ten years later - it might be the best match using ECW originals they could possibly do.

I am hoping this event is a one-off to reset TNA and get rid of Hogan/Bischoff but I think it may continue for a while. If Hogan/Bischoff get fired/leave, I'm sure that could bankrupt TNA thus my prediction (to my wife) that TNA would be doen by the end of AUgust would come true.

Why would Bishoff and Hogan leaving bankrupt TNA?  Wouldn't cutting them loose, save TNA some major cash?
I certainly hope TNA doesn't go out of business... anybody who claims that they are a wrestling fan, should hope that too!

I'm sure Hogan and Bischoff  have a downside clause in their contracts to pay them for either not working or leaving TNA, just as they did in WCW. I don't want TNA to be done at all. I think they've been in the wrong direction for 4 years and worry that with all their expenses and mismanagement, they may be done. They've missed many marketing opportunities, pushed wrestlers who don't catch on with fans and then fire the ones that could if they were properly promoted.

AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Eric Young, Awesome Kong, Abyss should be comparable to Flair, Hogan and Goldberg in terms of fan popularity by now. Instead, we have Ken Anderson (whom I like), Jeff Hardy (in trouble with the law) and others who joined TNA to get a post-WWE paycheque. While I'm not knocking paycheques, I would've liked wrestlers qwho've been with TNA since near the begining to be the cornerstones, the money-makers of TNA.

Anyhow, I have lots of issues with TNA. I wish they'd go back to what brung them.

Because WWE’s ownership of the ECW brand name prevents TNA from actively promoting its “hardcore originals” with reference to that brand name (it can, apparently, still reference their past in ECW), TNA had to identify a new name for the group of wrestlers set to compete at the “Hardcore Justice” pay-per-view.

According to various correspondents, that name will be EV2.0, standing for “Extreme Version 2.0.”

PWInsider.com reports that the name was an Eric Bischoff suggestion. It was apparently used throughout the Monday iMPACT! taping, which filmed the episode set to air this Thursday.
